Fishing ContestRewards: Some Fishing EXP, a shortcut under White Wolf Mountain and 1 quest point Before you get started on this make sure you have a fishing level of 40. It's what I had when I did it and I passed fine. As far as items go you need garlic, a spade, and a bait fishing pole. You can get all these easily near Draynor. The spade's in Draynor Manor, there's garlic on the second floor of a house in the northern part of Draynor in a cupboard and you can get a bait rod in the fishing store of the neighboring Port Sarim. Once you have all those items go and talk to the mountain dwarf next to White Wolf Mountain. He's next to a small house with stairs leading down on boths sides of the mountain so you can talk to him on either side. He has the amazing ability ability to appear in two places at once. At some point he will say he doesn't want strangers using his home as a short cut . . . select the chat options where you ask to be his friend and ask how to gain his trust. He will tell you he wants this special gold trophy that can be obtained by winning the HEMENSTER FISHING CONTEST! The thing is, dwarves aren't very good at sitting with a fishing pole in the water till something bites. Tell him you're pretty good at it and he'll give you the pass that he obtained. Once you have this stuff take the road west from Catherby up to McGrubor's Wood. Once you come to the eastern fence of McGrubor's wood follow it north while running your mouse pointer over the fence until you find the loose panel and click on that. There are level 46 Gaurd Dogs in here so if you can't handle that crap make sure you have some food and all of your fighting equipment. If you hug the norther wall you should avoid the dogs, though. Still, bring your crap just to be safe. As you go west through the Wood you'll soon come upon a red vine (really easy to spot). Use your spade on it and get yourself some red worms (you don't need that many. I got 15 to be safe but only used 3). Head back on out through the loose panel in the fence and follow the road south to Hemenster . . . Once in Hemenster click on the wood gate. Morris will ask you for your pass which you will give to him. Once inside talk to the guy with the red shirt . . . I forgot his name. He'll say you can have the Oak Tree spot but he can take that spot, roll it up into a nice little ball and plug his ass with it <Crowd cheers>. We want the spot next to the pipe! Sinister guy already has it, though . . . walk up next to him, click your garlic then click the pipe. You will set your garlic neatly on the edge and he will take the oak tree spot. He hates the garlic you placed next to him. He is too polite to challenge your decorative spirit so he lets you have the spot. Work your magic, lucky garlic! Once in position the competition will start . . . begin baiting the fish! You will pull fish out of the water the moment you put your bait in to everyone's amazement. Once the guy says it is all over he'll declare you the winner. Take the trophy to the ever present mountain dwarf. You'll automatically give him the trophy and receive your previously mentioned rewards. A job well done! - by Super Helmet
