Events

There are two general types of events in FoM; official and unofficial. In order for an event to be official, it must be hosted by a Sworn of the appropriate type:
Fun events by Sworn of Mysteries.
PvP events by Sworn of the Axe.
Skill events by Sworn of the Dying Light.
(Note that a Primogen can always make an official event, regardless of type.)

The differences between these type of events are as follows:
PvP events are events that focus on player-versus-player combat. This can be fun fights within the clan, or fights against other clans or people in various minigame (such as Bounty Hunter, Clan Wars, Duel Arena, or Castle Wars).
Skill events are events that primarily focus on getting XP for the people involved (such as fishing, woodcutting, runecrafting, etc.).
Fun events are events that may very well use elements of both of the above mentioned types, but where the primary focus is to have fun. This can be non-PvP competitions of different sorts, killing boss monsters, or maybe trawler trips.

A Sworn (that includes Primogen) can host two official events per week. If they host more than that, the events will be considered unofficial. If the person hosting an event is not a Sworn, then the event will always be considered unofficial.

In order for your event to be considered anything at all, it must have been posted in a new topic in the Events forum. If the event has a less than two-day notice, you should also provide a link from a new topic in FoM Private or Public. Make sure that any such topic clearly states what it's about, though. If you post in FoM Public, mention in your topic title or description that it contains a link to an event. If it's in Private, also include what event it refers to. Please also post a copy of the event topic in the On Trial forum.

Also note that you can gain points for attending or hosting events.
