The Temple of IkovReward: I got 13,000 Ranged XP (I was at level 52) and 17,000 Fletching XP (I was at level 67), and one Quest Point.
Before you start this quest, make sure that you have the following:
The quest's start point is in, or around, the Flying Horse Inn in Ardougne. This inn is located on the west side of the river in East Ardougne. Speak to Lucien (a man dressed in dark grey robes and a black large helmet) and he will ask if you can bring him the Staff of Armadyl, which is located in the Temple of Ikov. He also gives you the Pendant of Lucien. If you happen to lose this pendant, just ask Lucien for a new one. Now it's to head for the temple. If you have a high Combat Level, bring all the 20 limpwurt roots with you straight away. You will face some level 54 Skeletons and level 64 Ice Spiders before you actually need to use the limpwurt roots, though, so if your Combat Level is low, bring food instead, and go back for the roots later (you can also leave the bow and arrows for now, if you're also leaving the roots). The entrance is located in a rectangular building (a roof held up by pillars) just north of Ardougne. Very easy to find, just leave East Ardougne through the north east gate, walk to the windmill, then take off to the east, and you will spot it. After entering the temple, you will see two doors. You will only be able to open one, though, so just go through it. This brings you into a room with an animal skull in it. To the left, there is a stair case, leading down. This is where you will need the lit candle. Walk down the stairs, and if you have the candle equipped, it will automatically get bright. In a corner of the room, two spider webs are covering a pair of ugly boots (possibly former Gnome Raver-nerd-boots). Just slice the web with your weapon and retrieve these, so called, Boots of Lightfeet. After retrieving the boots, climb the stairs to get back into the animal-skull-room. (You can now throw away the candle if you wish.) Now it's time to venture deeper into the temple, into the room with the level 54 Skeletons. Do so, then take a left before walking into the hallway straight across the room. This will take you to a bridge. Before getting on the bridge, put on the ugly boots. This will make you light, for some reason, and you will be able to cross without falling into the lava stream. This takes you into a room where you will find a lever. Grab the lever and head back across the bridge. (You can now throw away the boots, if you wish.) Now, continue through the skeletons and into the hallway. Straight ahead of you, there is a lever on the wall. Don't pull that, though. Instead, search it for traps. Once finding the trap, pull it to unlock the door into the icy room back by the entrance, but don't go there yet. First, venture a tiny bit deeper into the temple. You will now reach a locked door. To the right of the door, a lever is missing. Who could have removed this lever, and for what reason? Whoever did so seriously sucks at hiding it, though, and you already have it in your inventory. Use the lever in your "back pack" with this empty lever-hold-thing, then pull it. This will unlock the door to the left. But don't go there yet. Now, go back to the entrance of the temple and open the door into the snowy room with ice spiders in it. This room is like a long hall way, and at the end there are two ice arrows on the floor. Walk to the end, pick up an arrow, and then you will automatically be teleported to the beginning of the room. Just in case, you should grab a couple of these. I got ten of them, just to be certain, but if you don't think you will survive ten runs, get less. If you are the kind who left the limpwurt roots, bows, and arrows in the bank, this is a great time to go and get them. Then go straight back to the temple. Once you've made sure that you have all 20 limpwurt roots, a bow, ice arrows, and a couple of other arrows (unless you actually want to pick enough ice arrows to kill an enemy), go back to the door you unlocked with the lever you found (past the skeletons, then left in the cave-like hall way). Enter this room and you will see a cage with a Firewarrior in it. This Firewarrior will prevent you from opening the door next to him with his SUPER HOT POWERS. To take care of that problem, shoot him to death (isn't this how we should deal with all problems?). You must start off with the ice arrows, but then it doesn't matter what arrows you use to actually kill him. Once the Firewarrior is dead, walk down to the witch by the lava. This is the one who wants those limpwurt roots. Just talk to her and your character will act as if he had met her before and hand her the roots, she then teleports you over the lava. (You will now have 20 empty spaces in your inventory, so if a nice friend of yours would bother following you to the lava, he/she/it could trade you some food after you've teleported over. The distance is short enough for trading.) As you've probably have noticed, there are some skeletons on this side, so get moving. Walk up the hall way, past some more skeletons, and then past the room with Armadyl Guardians in it. You will then end up in a room with lesser demons (level 79), just run past these and into a small cave-like room. Here, you will find a Shiny Key, grab it. &nsbp; After retrieving the key, go back to the room with the guardians in it. Push the strange looking wall to get in. Now you have two options, one smart and one dumb. The dumb one is to start killing off all Armadyl Guardians (I don't know their level) to get the staff for Lucien. The smart, and fast, one is to take off your Pendant of Lucien, then talk to one of the guardians. Ask them about the Staff of Armadyl and they will tell you about some evil people who wants it. They mentions Lucien, that's when you say "Did you say Lucien?" They will then ask you to kill him for them. Be smart and accept this, it's much faster, and Lucien is only level 21. After accepting to kill Lucien and getting the Pendant of Armadyl, just take the staff, exit the room, and go back to the level 54 skeletons. Among them, there is a ladder. Climb the ladder and you will end up in a house just north of McGrubor's Woods. Use the Shiny Key to get out of there. Once out of the temple, follow the rail road to the east until you reach Seers' Village. Go to the bank and get runes for a teleport-trip to Varrock (if you're a dumb ass pure, start walking), because it's now time to meet up with Lucien again. Lucien is located in small house just north of Varrock (the fastest way to get there is to leave Varrock through the north east gate, then take a left into the forest before getting to the Wilderness. Then follow the walls around the palace until you reach a small house. Now put on the Pendant of Armadyl (you need this to be able to attack Lucien) and kill Lucien. Also, pay close attention to the candle he has somehow managed to attach to a glass window. Congratulations, you have finished the quest. - by g00w
