Pies and Cakes
-
January 17 was a day to remember in Oslo, Norway. This was the day when Pies and Cakes came to visit, and they held a press conference at the City Hall where they answered all of the curious Norwegians' questions.
1:37 PM, January 17, Pies and Cakes' plane landed at the Oslo airport. A previous bomb threat had called upon extra security, and the Norwegian special forces, NANW (Nazis are not Welcome), were at the scene to keep the two stars from any danger. Fans and reporters crowded along the red carpet on which Pies and Cakes walked and answered short questions from lucky reporters. As they got into the airport we actually managed to get a short interview with them.
How was your flight?
"Good," Pies answered, without giving Cakes a chance to tell us his own experience of the flight. It was clear that Pies is the one of the two who's in charge and makes all important decision.
Will you reveal anything new about your upcoming movie during the press conference?
"Yeah." Once again, it was Pies that took the initiative and answered the question.
And that was the end of our interview. But we still had many questions to ask them, one of them about their new album, Pies and Cakes Rule the World Volume 37. But that would just have to wait until the press conference.
A Long Career
Pies and Cakes have had a long career together, but it all began in Moscow, 1978, when they made the legendary A Night in Egypt together. A Night in Egypt was written and directed by, the now dead, John Gupping. John Gupping was probably most famous for his remake of The Wisconsin Whores in Bagdad, but has also directed masterpieces such as Daddy, Mom is a Fish and When the Belltower Went to Harry. After A Night in Egypt everything seemed to go Pies and Cakes' ways. They both appeared in a long going TV series, called Shoe, and they immediately got a record deal with Not Virgin and began the recording of their first CD, From Who the Bell Tolls. But this didn't go as well as planned. First of all, there were no such thing as a CD back then, so Pies and Cakes had to invent it. The invention resulted in a square piece of plasted with inch wide cracks in it. The cracks were where Pies and Cakes had planned on storing the information, but it didn't work . . . at all. And when the 12 cm wide CD came out a couple of years later, Pies and Cakes were sued for using the name that the CD-company were going to use for their future product. But this didn't scare Pies and Cakes, who continues to make movies and collect cash to buy booze and whores.
Their next big appearance in the theatres came with the breakthrough of director Bimbo Buggins. The movie was called Live and Let Butter and was released on VHS in 1981. And reminding a bit of the CD-story, no one was sure if the VCR was invented yet, so the release was postponed until May, 1993, but still sold awfully well.
Ever since then Pies and Cakes have appeared in hundreds of movies and released 46 albums. Some of their biggest fans live here in Norway, one of them actually weighs 445 lbs, so it's not a coincidence that they, in January 2003, decided to visit this misfortunate country of sorry losers and alcoholics.
A Press Conference to Remember
After arriving at the airport Pies and Cakes first took off to their hotel to relax after a long trip all the way from Spain. But after less than an hour they sat course for the press conference, and boy, was there a big crowd of fans, reporters, and assassins waiting for them. The questions started raining over them (not literally raining) as soon as they sat down. Here are some of the ones we found most interesting.
Are you single?
"I'm not, but Cakes is, and always will be," Pies answered with a big smile. Most people took it as a joke, but the ones who saw the tear in Cakes eye understood that his impotence was a heavy burden.
When will your new album be available in the stores of Japan?
"As soon as our Japanese translation is finished, which we think will be around October 14, 3:35 PM, 2005," Pies replied.
Do you have any pets?
"No."
This question is for you Cakes, have you ever been mistaken for a woman?
"Yes," Cakes sighed as he hid his head in his hands.
We still had some questions to ask, but due to the big crowd we never got close enough to ask them. Instead we got caught somewhere in the back, where we first got robbed, and then severly beaten with a camera.

It's time to end this somewhat hiatus and start writing video game reviews for no one again. Funny that after all of these months of college and unemployment I start wasting time with video games and shitty reviews once I finally get a job.
Also, maybe I'll start reviewing games that have been released within the past six months for once thanks to my new disposable (heavy emphasis on this word) income. Maybe.

I got an urge to collect crap for my chao in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I had quite a lot of fun until I realised that I already had a chao with 99 in all stats. That took a bit of the fun away but I have another 16 chao I can level up. But now I'm in a mood to play Zelda instead.May 31, 2010 - 15:53 GMT - Benny
I'm quite glad I went through with this The Green Shell idea. Combined with Hair, I've managed to build up a little backlog of updates that could last me at least a week. Although I have a feeling I'll put out a few of them at a time, which means I'll run out sooner. But yeah, while it's not necessarily easy to come up with shitty ideas for it, I have been looking around at a lot of random video game stuff over the last 12 hours and it's quite fun. I also need to play some more Star Ocean; I've got reptile aliens to kill and annoying girls to ignore! My hatred for Welch has gone down a lot since I got Lymle into my party. That annoying fuck pisses me off, 'kay.
