Universal Studios Theme Park Adventure

2001 Kemco - GameCube

Ok, when I got the Gamecube, I tried to look for a cool game. I gave Universal Sutdios a try. After 2 hours, I turned the game off and returned it to Blockbuster. I realized that I wasted some good money on it and hated that. This game was not exactly the best game ever. On the contrary, it's one of those game that deserves to be bashed. Here's why:

Graphics: 3/10

This would be pretty good for the Super NES. Last time I checked though, It stopped making games a long time ago. It looks a lot like Superman for the N64. The trees look like they were glued to the screen. The people also look like they were glued onto the screen. Some of the landscape does look pretty well, like the Universal Studios Globe. It's not the worst part, but they sure could be better. In other words, the graphics look like a lousy N64 game than a Gamecube game.

Sound/Music: 2/10

First of all, there is very little sound in this game, which is a flaw. IT'S A THEME PARK! There's supposed to be a lot of noise in a theme park. Secondly, the music for the theme park itself is pretty bad. The main theme is extremely boring. The mini-game music is slightly tolerable, so it doesn't get the dreaded 1. Still though, the best sound would probably be the Mute button.

Control: 1/10

Can I please give it a 0?
The game is by far the game with the worst control for the Gamecube. It's extremely hard to navigate around the map, because they have a fixed camera. Also, you have to move the direction the person's facing before they can move, which is very annoying. Lastly, in the mini-games, the control is lousy. This is definitely a low for the game and the Gamecube.

Gameplay: 3/20

Uhhh.... no. The gameplay isn't tolerable. The object is to collect all the stamps by the end of the day. That sure sounds like fun! You have to finish mini-games to get them. The mini-games themselves are tolerable, but the other objectives are not. At one point, you have to pick up all the garbage. Wow, that's cool! Then, you have to collect all the letters of universal studios. You can also shake people's hands and get points! That sounds awesome!
End Sarcasm
The gameplay makes me sick...

Replayability: 0/5

This game has no replayability. It's barely tolerable after an hour. If you got it for free, chuck it out of a moving vehicle, or sell it on EBay. The playability is very close to 0 itself, and you think there's going to be replayability?

Overall: 9/55 (16%)

This title gives the Gamecube a bad name. Stay Away from this game at all costs. It's for your own good. Note to Nintendo: If you have an affilation with Kemco, get rid of it NOW.
